hello.... anyone know if this is an actual type of exercise that does anything. ive never seen anyone do it before.

this asian guy came into the gym and got 3 - 50 pound plates and put them on the flood.. then he got down and started lying next to them and then reached over and put all 3 plates on his stomach. he was just lying there like that for about 10 minutes.. not moving

what was he doing? was this is ab exercise? or was he trying to kill himself by crushing his ribs and lungs.
 
He was trying to do weighted crunches, but he overloaded himself and didn't have a spotter.

So I layed there till my friend showed up. Thank you for helping me. ;)
 
i saw him doing it again...
anyone know if this is exercise? or is he just stupid
 
I could see some purpose in reaching over and grabbing the plates....

but what good would it do to hold the plates on his chest for 10 minutes?

I'm stumped as well.

There's a guy at my gym that does crazy shit all the time, like he's trying to find a shortcut to being big or something. He's built o.k. I suppose but, if he'd stick to the basics he'd probably have a lot better results. I'd have to laugh out loud if I seen a guy doing the three plates on his chest thing though, that sounds pretty fucking funny! Walk over & put your foot on the plates while they are on his chest & when he says something just tell him you were trying to help! :D
