What is the Science behind the D-Bol Back pumps?

I am about 10 days into my cycle, and my lower back is constantly pumped. This is my first run with D-Bol so I never really knew what everyone was talking about.

I am taking 10mg every 8 hours. It is stacked in my Test/NPP cycle.

On a positive note, I am taking .75mg's of l-dex daily and the bloat seems to be non existant. I am up 4lbs in the last 9 days. Strength is starting to increase as well. My max bench went from 1 rep to 2 on day 9.

BTW, I am not complaining, it is by no means unbearable, just curious if anyone knew what causes it.

I'm not 100% sure but think it's a combo of water retention and increased blood flow (which increases dramatically when you lift). I do know if I take Adex at 1mg ED I don't get them. If you were to drop the l-dex you may find the back pumps become less bearable.

Additionally RADAR recommends Linberg Milk Thistle (Prod# 96-62400 60 caps 7.99), I've not tried it yet but feedback from others and the man himself indicate that this particular brand is great at reducing back pumps!

I'd be interested to hear thoughts on why / how it works?

I am not sure of the science behind it, but I think since Dbol creates an increase in red blood cells, more blood rushes to muscles when in use...lower back (along with calves and shoulders, IMO) is the quickest muscle to pump - therefore the dreaded back pumps.

Someone with the actual science needs to get in on this thread.

Yeah my last cycle with dbol I had a good pump in my back! It always felt flexed & solid (it wasn't painful I kind of liked it). I'm on my next cycle now and haven't felt anything in my back yet. But only only 3 days in on my dbol and 2 shots of test e, and this is when I usually feel the dbol. Only 3 days for me!! I'm guessing it varies by the type of dbol you got, but I would be heated if my shit didn't start working as quick as mine (I got the pinkies).

i bought those milk thistle... i dont have any lower back pumps until i do deadlifts.. it was killin me last night! and I even took a few pills before workout. its tough when squatting too. dont know the reason behind but sounds like thats a pretty good theory ^^^

IMHO the symptoms are due to pumps of the psoas major muscle which is a large muscle that runs to the lesser trochanter of the femur from the lumbar vertebrae, and runs proximally medial to the kidneys. this is a large muscle that flexes the thigh - if your lumbars are out of alignment the pumps could more painful and frequent

It's simple really. D-Bol causes huge pumps. So if you're bulking you're going to get huge pumps in all your muscles, including your lower back. If you keep your carbs low, you won't get the lower back pumps as bad.
