what is a good cracker or boxed snack to eat?

I need something to hold me from lunch til after work. I've been eating reduced fat Triscuits. It's got whole wheat but also hydro fats. Probably not too good for me. So is there a better type of cracker or boxed snack I can eat. I don't want to have to cook or mix anything, just something I can pull out my drawer and eat.

yes it is pretty high in sodium, but better for you than crackers. Your options are kind of limited if you dont want to cook or mix anything

The only bread or cracker things that I can find without trans fats and/or high fructose c.s. are a few brands of pita bread or pita pockets.
Yes.....I do pull out a chicken or beef filled pita at my desk everyday, but my office is in the back. :)

Anything that is boxed or is a "cracker" is absolute processed shit food, and has no place in a sound diet. A good rule of thumb is that if it's in a box, it's crap. All that shit is refined white flour crap............

Protein bars, shakes, beef jerky, are all good choices if you cannot have a clean/prepared meal. Sodium is of no issue, or shouldn't be, unless you are a few days out from a contest/pics.

You can actually find some decent crackers at health food stores.

Many organic companies make versions of things like Ritz, Goldfish, Wheat Thins, etc., with only 3-4 ingredients (most commonly: unbleached stoneground whole wheat flour, salt, and some sort of leavening agent), no trans-fats, and no hard-to-spell additives. Granted, they don't taste quite as good, and are still loaded with carbs, but if that's not a concern for you, then there are options if you shop around and read labels carefully. These products tend to be a little on the expensive side, though.

There's also Wasa and Ryvita (which only contain whole grain rye flour and salt), but they are rather bland and dry on their own.

I recently found some graham crackers made of whole wheat flour, honey, unsulphured molasses, expeller pressed safflower oil, leavening, salt, and oil of lemon. They were a pretty good treat with some natural PB on them. :)

'isn't beef jerky high in sodium? can I get low sodium beef jerky?'

i don't understand why you people worry about sodium so much...just drink more water....

how many of you eat canned tuna?! ever looked at the label? there's tonns of sodium in that..

and crackers for the most part are crap...simple carbs with hydrogenated fats
