Those of you that "diet."

As of right now, I usually eat about a little over a pound of lean ground beef (using my personal taco seasoning recipe) and about 3/4 cup of whole grain rice split up for 3 meals. MRP shakes for another 2. Then whatever the woman cooks for dinner.

Looking for some easy cooking/seasoning ideas. I usually cook 3 lbs of the beef at a time which means I only really need to "cook" twice a week.

Chicken breasts or boneless thighs are easy too. I'll usually buy a low or no sodium marinade and put 4-6 frozen boobs in a ziploc with said marinade. Normally I have ones that have been marinading already and just cook them all at once. Good for 2-3 days. I buy short grain brown rice at costco and will cook enough for 2-3 days. I always have cottage cheese in the fridge, and I always have a ton of those seasoned tuna pouches. I eat those with wasa crackers. Whole grain and a good amount of fiber.

Of course with a newborn, I'm throwing a bowl of cheerios and a shake down in the morning and forget my lunches half the time because I'm in such a rush to get her to daycare and then to work. Then It's usually a wendy's grilled chicken sangueech and some chili.

I may start using some ground veal. Baby animals = tasty.

Oh, and by the way:

I'm ordering need to's book today, cause my diet is shit. Got as much discipline as the pair of Java the Huts that PM infected most of us with.
Metabolism is great, but not got the scat back speed she once did. So, in order for me to get below 12/13%,, where I'm holding now, gotta cut alot of shit out, and re establish clean eating.
I've been bitching for the last 2 weeks on doing this, but haven't done shit. Gotta start cooking again, and yeah I hate eating chicken all the time. So, yeah, I need an overhaul as well.

I know ham isn't the best protein choice, but have you considered boiling up a pot of stew once a week?
Takes about 6 hours in a slow cooker, toss in the Mexican red bean and rice package (with spices) you can get at the dollar store, an additional cup of brown rice, dolla bag of mixed beans, bag of carrots, two cans of tomatoes, some onion, garlic salt, pepper, cheap shoulder cut with the fat trimmed off. You can freeze small containers of it for the week.
