weight belt

I finally broke down and purchased a weight belt. I would only use this for two exercises(rightnow), weighted dips and chins. my question is, how do I set up the belt so that I can attach plates or dbs to it? I am thinking cruise down to the local home depot and see their chain selection, and see if they have any attachments for the end links, but I have been to busy. I just bought the belt since the sporting good store was on the way. suggestions? pics?

That's what we use...chains and a long screw. Loop the chains around the belt and through the bar hole, then fasten the chain to itself. You're going to want to use a towel if you plan to use them for belt squats (ouch).

A friend of mine has a weight belt with a rounded metel buckle. He takes a chain and a carrabiner (spelling?) like the ones rock climbers use and he attaches both ends of the chain to the carrabiner and then the car.. to the buckly. Obviously he puts the chain through the weights first.
