Urban Strongman

I was just thinking towards the end of the year, I would like to incorporate some type of strongman training regimen in my routine. maybe a day of going out to some empty parking lot and pushing my truck around for a couple of sets, and bringing a bar and performing some cleans. since I have a truck, I will be able to haul some equipment the workout place, but I would like to keep it simple. I am just looking for some exercises that I could do that would strenghten the whole body. not looking to compete, but just good training fun. any suggestions?

this is directed to the man himself, B Fold, but everyone is welcome to comment.

What kind of equipment do you have to train with? Any ideas?

Do you have...say...$100 that you could spend on equpment to train with??? If so...you could have A LOT to play with...enough for a little fun anyway...

I would like to know what you got up your sleeve bfold, this sounds like a good amount of fun to be had. Please share what can 100 bucks get as far as toys?

I do have funds to support my habit. I liked what looked like a pullup bar with rods attached to the sides of them that you had used to do the farmer's walk. give me some ideas mang...

500 pound tire (if feasable for you to store somewhere)=Free
Old car/truck tire (to be used for a dragging sled)=Free
2" Thick bar= around $40 or less
Few large rocks or slabs of wood= cheap or free if you can find them
Chain to hook to your sled or bumper of your truck to pull= $20 or less
Handle to pull sled or truck=$30 or so
2, 3' long pieces of schedule 80 steel pipe for farmers=$50 or so

That would give you lots to start with for now...:)

What about a beer keg for the sled?

Heck of an idea...you should either be able to get one for free or $20 or less... Easy to fill with water, sand, concrete, etc...

They are good to pack, clean and press, carry for distance, etc....
