If you were normally eating 200g of carbs I would drop about 75 g's during your "mini deplete" day mainly by subtracting carbs from your meals later in the day. Instead of carbs just eat meat and veggies, mainly asparagus for its diuretic effects. Also, make sure to get in some healthy fats with your no carb meals to increase insulin sensitivity in preperation for the following day when you bump your carbs up a little.
I would take some r-ala and vanadyl sulfate when you begin to rest and eat a few more carbs. It will help shuttle the carbs to your muscles. The day after your depletion training, consume slightly more than ususal, 250 grams from yams and oats. The yams or sweet potatoes are high in potassium and will really fill out the muscle and vascularity as well.
