Easier for your grip to fail, however. It'll get harder and harder once you get into massive weight. I don't use straps, just chalk.

Dumbell deadlifts does much the same thing as trap bar deads.

Greater ROM as well.

VERY good point. Not the best for strength purposes...but for speed deadlifts or for variation...definately something that could be used.

I started doing squats two weeks ago thanks to BFold, and i must say they are the shit. He has talked me into doing Deadlifts as well, but i haven't tried them yet, but will during this weeks back day, but i will only be doing LIGHT weight... and i mean LIGHT... LoL
Thanks BFold

Deadlifts are the Shizzel my nizzel!!!! All of the trainers at my gym teach the straight legged version, though. Do they know something I dont????

It was kinda funny today, i was deadlifting 505lbs, taking it easy after a layoff so I was just repping out with it. I pulled up the first rep and saw two little 19 year old hardbodies walk by behind me and one remarked"Wow, look how much weight that big guy is lifting"....funny how light it got after that...

snatch grip deadlifts - absolute killer, on the upper back, lats, grip and posterior chain!

Even more so if you do it on a podium or 4inch block!!

I can't even get anywhere near the poundages I can deadlift normally.
