Greetings ~
I am currently 37, 5'8", 177lbs with a 34 inch waist, and I am using
TKD as my 1st cutting phase. My goal is 185-190 while maintaining a 32
inch waist. When I was 17-20, I was a middlewieght fighter (160) with
a 29-30 waist.
I hate the idea of cutting as I do not want to lose any gains, but the
gut that is developing is telling me that is what I have to do. In the
early spring, Bulking will begin again so I will be ready to go for
baseball season.
I am combining TKD with HST and two days a week of running 2-3 miles...
I ate often yesterday, and entered it all on fitday to see what it
looked like. I had no red meat yesterday, but I will today. Eggs,
bacon, cheese, tuna, whey and chicken were my sources of protein
yesterday.
2200 calories
165 g of protein
148 g of fat (!)
15 g of carbs
It seems I need to increase the average calories a bit...I am thinking
the red meat will do it. Time for buckets full o' ground beef!
I am feeling good through 2 days - I will monitor my energy level
during workouts - I will not target pre workout carbs until I feel an
energy dropoff - probably around 5-7 days is what I anticipate.
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, or experience thenselves
with TKD, it would be appreciated.
