Take Pictures!!!

I agree, taking pisc is the best way to really objectively view your body.

BUT....I also think that sometimes when we look in the mirror ALL WE SEE are the trouble areas. We focus so much in on the "flabby tummy" or "saddlebags" that we don't even see the amazing shoulders, the high perfectly-formed butt, or even the perfect proportion.

We all have areas of strengths and weaknesses. Focusing ONLY on the good or the bad will not help you improve. You need to learn to view your body for what it is - pluses and minuses. The whole package matters. You are not defined by only one area.

Actually I kind of disagree.. I've noticed that the way I look in the mirror is totally dependent on the lighting in the room. And all the rooms that I look at myself in the mirror arent wonderfully lit, so I was thinking I was lookin pretty good. THEN I took pics, and with the lighting of a bright flash, I saw a totally different me. WOW... surprised, disgusted, motivated..

Notice the first sentence in my post.

Then go search for a post I made over a year ago entitled "The mirror does lie to me"

I posted how important taking pics is.

Just don't define yourself by a couple body parts.
