Squat 377.5 x 9 10/12/13 - YouTube
So this was my last workout before my week long deload. During this deload I really want to take advantage of the light weights by dialing down on my squat technique.
The main gripe I have with my current squat form is that my hips shoot up too fast and I essentially end up GMing the weight up. This becomes very apparent as fatigue sets in later in the set. I don't know if this is a technique issue that I can remedy with some mental cues, or if it is a core strength issue. I am thinking that maybe I am not shoving my knees out enough, and that maybe I am not pointing my toes out enough to get that external rotation.
Or maybe I'm just weak in my core and quads.
What do you guys think?
Should I try doing beltless highbar squats on my deadlift day?
