Something that really pisses me off

Sorry guys but i have to vent. Im the only guy in the gyam that ever does squats. Everyone else uses the freaken SQUAT rack for curls. Why dont they lose a freakin curl bar instead. Man that gets to me

On another note. When I squat somethings my balance gets a little off and more weight goes on one leg or another. That makes my knee hurt a tad everynow and again. Im guessing this will improve as I squat more, what do you think?

thanks

south bend...they are lots of people in th gym that don't know what the bijesus they are doing. Even sometimes you try to help em out and they just show resentment or ignore you. Fuck em!

Im in Anderson.....real good Ymca here
a 10 in my book. ONe side of the room is all hammer strength and the rest is free weights

Just practice your squat form a little more strictly to avoid that balance problem, usually when the weight is high enough I'm pretty much locked to the ground with no variation of balance.

Grab some knee wraps or braces to avoid any harmful stress to your knee or patella when squatting, at least until you fix the knee pain. Although I never do, some people also think belts help support the lower back and may improve balance.

squats freaking rule. I have the problem where I lose a little balance and sway from front to rear, only when I go too heavy. then I back off the weight. I also use the squat rack for deads and bb rows since there isnt enough room at my gym for those exercises.

The problem with belts and especially wraps or braces for the knees is that they are doing a lot of the work your joints are supposed to be doing. If you use them a lot, over time your tendons/ligaments will end up weaker than your muscles and you are in for a mother fucker of an injury.
Powerlifters generally only use them for single rep maxes, almost never for working sets.

Heaven Frobid that any one use the squat rack for what is was made for... Yeah no one likes to squat except for the determined...
If you want good form try to lessen the weight a little and go a little slower during your reps, Oh the Burn:devil:
