Saturated fats

If you follow a strict diet, you may consume much protein, few carbs and only "good fats"

You then take poly-unsaturated fats (omega 3s,....) and very few saturated fats (no fatty meats, no fried foods, only unsaturated oils,...)

Can you then suffer from a lack of those saturated fatty acids ?

Although your question is a bit vague, I would think that you might have a lack of Saturated fat intake (yes the deadly saturated fat is needed), for if Sat. fat intake is below 10% you will usually have a problem w/ lowered testosterone production.

Mr. X -- I thought the body produced it's own saturated fats, so technically you never "need" to consume saturated fats, just mono & poly unsaturated fats........true?

Nope you still need saturated fats....

I would suggest against mcdonalds food, but most of the foods you eat that relate to meats have saturated fats; assuming you eat meat, that's all you'll need.
