:) I have certain things I've just let go around my house the last few months - stuff would break and I simply didnt' have time to deal w/ it when I was working literally 100 hrs /week. THen I got laid off. I dont' do well when I dont' have a tight, stimulating, active schedule. But I've also been laid off for up to 6 months 4 x since 1999. It sucks the life out of you trying to get things taken care of. Its a very muckerfuthing slow process that makes it real easy to feel like no one else on the planet gives a shit and sometimes I even stopped. Sometimes I've relied on competition prep to keep my sanity. Sometimes I've had to stop competition prep because I just can't stay focused on anything. And all the time you are just sitting there burning thru your savings and getting older. Ask me again how easy it is to sleep in.

Anyway - enough of that -- I work in software product management & marketing. That's why I want to move to CA - tech heaven! Water! Mountains! Interesting people! NOT the Deep South! No Hurricanes! (ok so there's earthquakes..) I've done S. Florida. Not a tech area. Not into big cities. Spent 20 yrs living a 6 foot snow drift. No interest in living in the Mid West. AZ is too freekin' dry. TX -eh its an option but doenst' do much for me. What makes sense? CA! No guarantees, but I think the odds are in my favor & I just need a new adventure where I think the people will be more likely to be like me than here.

Anyway -- that's my plan.
Sounds like a grand adventure! DEFINITE Cali meet up too... What city, do you know?

You are living the life girl! I'd say I'm jealous but it makes me so happy to hear you being so happy - I'm not :) (If that made any sense...)

I actually made some hyuge strides toward getting myself organized to get my whole "move across the country" thing going. With the help of a good friend I got motivated & addressed a few outstanding items that need to be done to get my house "sale ready". Among them:

- fixed my garage door opener

- pulled down my xmas lights (from 2 yrs ago... ) AND the white duct tape holdign them to the frames of my front & back doors. Tomorrow I need to wash the dirt & junk off & touch up the paint where the tape tore off paint or left the sticky stuff on the wood.

- fixed my toilet

- working on a backed up sink as we speak

- wrote out a list of stuff to be done over the next week.

Conceivably I might be able to get the house almost 100% ready for market by the end of this week & work w/ my realtor to get the final stuff done next week. How exciting is that?! Then I can use the last week of June to scope out some work near the parents' condo, and actually move down there the middle of July.

Anyway -- for me these are huge items to have completed, and the rest is not all that bad - just needs to be done.

Now, about that job in CA.... (next on the list...)

Oh yea I did make it to the gym tonite and doing a simulated "peak week" to prep for the big trip to sit in the audience at the Jr. Nats!

Diet: -- same

Training: experimented w/ some ab work since my shouders are fukt. Otherwise:
- 35 min stepper - slow, sweaty, ass-burning setting :)

Well GF..I can say you had a tough week! BUT...the but in CAPITAL LETTERS, -not shouting- but it's a chore! Damn, if I had done all that I would really be proud of myself! I think we just minimize the stuff we do, that has alot of value.
Your Xmas lights equal my bank statements and CCard records that are all in a drawer waiting to be filed...
I just dislike doing it! Would much rather iron Mens Shirts LOL...
I think you do such a great job in everything I have come to see.
You give away and share information, on BB and nutrition like if it were going ut of style!
Not only for me, but for everyone who reads EF.
You work away on your knowledge base...learning more and more each day and making your CPU even richer than MSN.
I really take my hat off to you for all you do, and may not be aware of all the goodness in you!
You are going to have a great moving experience...NBA is ON! :)

I actually used to get my PB from Whole Foods Market - you pour the almonds (not peanuts) in and it grinds them up into almond butter right there. So there's nothign in it but the nuts themselves. Or you can buy (also the natural organic stuff -- basically the ingredients are "nuts" - whatever nuts the stuff is supposed to be.
