running personal record

holy shit today i shaved a minite and a half off my time from last week. i did the stairclimber 2 days in a row i was really pushing it too the max too, then i took 2 days off from cardio then today i got my 4 mile in 26 minites 30 seconds :)

I've always been a naturally good sprinter/runner-was 'invited' to join track in high school but didn't. I bet a friend of mine in college once over beers that I could lap him in a mile run around the track-I hadn't run in a couple years with the exception of playing basketball. An hour later, I lost the bet but ended up doing a 4:42 in Byrd Stadium.
I have over 50 lbs of muscle since then, so I think I'd kill to eventually have below 6:00 mile if I started running again.

NC-damn good times! Try some sprints for time also...the explosiveness will help you in your lifts

i dont know how much you guys on the training board are in to cardio or running, in my opinion its essential...but anyways i did 4 miles in 28 minites flat im very happy i hope to get it down to 24 minites before december. i did this today at bodyweight of 238. id be interested in hearing other peoples times

I am into it quite a bit. 4 in 28? That is impressive, holding a 7 min mile pace for 4 miles at your weight. The best I can do 4 miles right now at 6ft 208 is about 30, 31 min, and I run quite a bit.

dude you didnt see my last post i got new personal record in th 4 miles in 26:30 seconds this weekend. but yesterday was a weak ass run i got 4 miles in 28:10. when u run against someone thats a light weight and runs fast you run alot harder. i run against my friend thats about 5'10 and 145.

i do alot of heavy squats on the weekends and legpresses, when u combine it with running maaaaaan does it look and feel good
