Had a good day today. Hit all my reps on bench with more in the tank. Next week will go up another 5 on flat bench and possible bump the close grip up 11 lbs. Havent decided if I want to increase the reps on close grip to 10 yet. I dont know if its even worth it since we are moving a good amount of volume on flat bench at 7 reps. Most likely going to keep at 8 reps. Eventually I want my close grip working sets to be the same weight as flat bench as I want to get to the point where I have 3 reps left in the tank on my flat bench on the later sets. I think by going up only 5 lbs per week will allow this to happen since its such a long cycle. I also am in a deficit again and have added semaglutide so we will see how fast the weight peels off over the next month. Hoping I can keep strength moving forward at the same time.
