ok, im trying to figure out the best way to both lose weight and build some mass at the same time.. im already fairly bulk for my age. and need some tips as to what i should be doing as far as workout. I have a bench in my room, and 160lbs in weight (not enough, getting more) with a strait bar, leg curl on the bench, and 2 dumbells.

now..about myself.
im 18, 6'2, 230.
i was 260lbs 2 months ago, and have lost 30 from dieting and my Retail Stocking job.
I am experimenting with some supplements.. currently Ripped Fuel.
I dont know my max exactly.. but i guess around 165 or so.. my Rep set i work daily is 135 x 10-12 rep.

i also do squats with the same weight and work my calves with calf raises on my leg days. I do Crunches daily, and also work my arms with 35 on the dumbell with about 14-15 rep.

any tips for me? im new to this stuff.. and consider myself pretty muscular (but not cut .. still too much body fat). but would like tips to get .. anywhere. :p

lower your reps into the 6-8 rep range, eat like a haus, and do cardio........ oh yeah........ abs are mucles as well, dont train them everyday give 1-2 days rest each time.

the most important thing to do to grow is eat, eat like its going out of style. however, you said you want to cut up as well,...........well.......... good luck....... you just cant do both.

im really sorry, but the rest of the world is trying to figure out how to get cut and bigger at the same time with no sucess yet., at least legally, but the cardio will help to shred some bodyfat, just dont be too intense with it, its cardio, its supposed to bore you to death.

ok, how should i eat then? i would like to get rid of my gut (which i think i can do with cardio, and keeping calories down some..) but as far as eating alot.. how about alot of protein containing foods (chicken, tuna), and i drink alot of water already.. would that be good.. to do kind of a high protein diet? along with my workout.?

had some friends over.. and got some more weight.. (went to walmart and got 2 45's.. they were supposed to be 20 dollars each, but rang up 2 dollars each!! and the cashier didnt notice (i didnt even think about it till after i left and looked at my cut into my bank account).
anyways.. maxed out.. i max out about 180.. not to shabby i say for never weight training.. although.. i have much work to go till im happy :p..

also.. other than running, what are some other cardio's.. maybe some i can do in my tiny room? (running is good.. but not too good during 100 degree weather :p)

good forms of cardio: running, sprinting, swimming, hiking, boxing ect...

the best advice I can give you to get more musclular and lose the gut is get a clean diet, eat a lot and workout very intesily....

so is a high protein, low carb, high intake good?
my job currently is 40+ hours of dairy stocking.. alot of arm working.. i lift 2-3 milk crates at once (guessing they are about 20 lbs each).. and i try to always squat with them.. (to keep from injuring back, and possibly get some workout).. i also carry them single handed when moving one at a time.. makes me feel like im doing something.. anyways.. i think thats what has gotton me to lose the 30 pounds i did in the month and a half.. and .. i figure.. get a good diet.. and it should help with my weight training.. while contininuing to lose my fat..

any input on diet? right now.. im eating alot of chicken breasts and tuna.. also alot of skim milk..

anything i should stay away from (well.. except the obvious candy and sweets, which i havent touched in well over 3 months, and have no urge to..)

cut out fast food and greasy food, those types of food a loaded with saturated fats. You don't need an extremely low carb diet just try to eat more grains and fiber to aid in digestion. Protein from eggs, tuna, chicken are really good sources, some red me to prvide creatine and iron as well. With more muscle your metabolism will go up and burning fat will be easier...
