Question on this split

BEAST420

New member
Trying out a new split due to starting a cycle and wanting to switch things up ... I plan on the following
1) chest/back
2)delts /arms
3)legs
4)off
5) cardio
Repeat...

How does this split look? My question is this, I have never done back any chest in the same day so I'm confused on how much to do for each body part as those are usally my two hardest lifts.... If someone could give me a sample chest and back day that would be awesome....

Depends on how serious u r to building ur delts and arm, if ur chest/back is a mfer of a workout what really can u offer them by working so hard back to back.

Honestly my arms are what i am trying to get the biggest this cycle so maybe this is not a good split for me. What could be a better split focusing on arms? Bc they seem to be laggin a bit

Without knowing ur current level of developement and/or ur experience, and without changing everything-simply moving legs after chest/back will allow for some recovery in order to blast ur delts and arm on day 3 with plenty of rest prior to chest/back for ur ongoing weeks.

Yes100 percent doing that! If you don't mind , what would a sample chest and back workout be? And for arm training is light weight lots of resistance the best way for growth?

^agreed chest/back, it takes alot to work for just one of those big bodyparts let alone both.

Chest-shoulders-tri
Back-biceps-traps
Legs-some grip work if using straps alot.

Chest-biceps
Legs-shoulders
Back-triceps

This is not set in stone, variations come and go. Workouts will change its inevitable- ur eating and sleeping should be made to be as consistent as possible, u need plenty of both.

I am 5'10 185 and 24....
Yea I'm confused as to what I should I do. Currently I'm doing ..
Chest bi
Legs
Back trap
Shoulder tri
Off
Full body
Off
Repeat

I really wanna switch it up as I just started my first cycle and have had that routine for a wile

Honestly I can't believe even doing a cycle when you're really confused about putting together a routine. And that you bumping another thread. Options were already given.

Legs before a back workout.... Why not do legs first then shoulders off day then back so you can deadlier heavier

Heavy rack pulls or another variation of the deadlift can easily be done before a back day if he so chooses. Strengthening areas to improve deadlift are as or more important at times to see improvement in that lift.

Off days can be implemented as stated above to accomodate heavy lifts on legs and back days in the event.

So many approaches for so many different levels of training/experience.

at this point in the game i would like to focus on gettin my arms the biggest... now with that being said, i dont know if i should dedicate arms to their own day or just mix it in other workouts such as bis on chest day..
i just would like to find a good breakdown... that is differnt from what i have been doing
i was thinking maybe this
chest tri
back bi
legs
shoulder
off
cardio
repeat

only thing is i always feel as if im over training when i do chest tri and back and bi... i think its just in my head so i might give this a try if i cant find anything better. wat you think?

Iv been doing a ton of thinking and reading up.. how does ths sound
chest... ( i will incorparate tons of dips) having weighted dips after bench and then end w/ normal dips to failure this way i can get my tris a nice little workout as well
back and bi
legs
shoulder tri
day off
cardio
repeat..
im really just trying to find a new split, so any suggestions or tips would be appreciated

Thats fine. Remember working ur back and bis, bicep are going to be worked as patt of back so no need to do warm up sets for them. Go right into ur heavy working sets. Barbell work- hammer curls-reverse ez bar curls.

Ur front delts are going to see alot work from ur chest day and then again on shoulder/tri day, rest up and balance out with side and rear delt work. Do not neglect facepulls, internal/ external rotations for healthy shoulders.

Ur triceps are damn near ur entire upper arm. Train them like it! Concentrate on developing ur closegrip bench press. I prefer them along with jm presses for growth.

In order to get bigger u need to get stronger.
