Problems with digesting protein

Hi all,

Have you got any ideas how to digest protein less problematically? I mean when I eat a lot of protein, esspecially cottage cheese then I generate plenty of gas, and my farts become really-realy stinky. I take ginger root, but that doesn't solve this problem. I've heard that maybe digestive enzymes will solve my problem. What do you think about it? If they can help then what kind of digestive enzymes should I look for?

I don't know if it will make you less stinky, but papaya is supposed to help digest protein. (papaya pills are available at nutrition stores)

You might be lactose intolerant - that's exactly what happens to me when I eat dairy. I try and avoid it, it's uncomfortable for me and unpleasant for those around me!! :sulk:

Thanks for your advice, I'll give them a try. :)
But lactose intolerance, I don't think that is a problem, because I can drink a gallon of milk(with lots of lactose of course) without any gas problems.

If you could drink a gallon of milk without gas I would be impressed. If you could drink a gallon of milk without puking i would still be impressed.
