I also hate the "I'm afraid that i might gain too much muscle. I don't want to be a freak". Only stupid dumbfucks says that, and they're always small!

I have some older relatives (in their 60's) who live in a resort area. They told me about some "trainer" there who is really expensive. All the rich old people are lining up to "train" with him because he uses "special machines" that are supposedly unlike anything else (and so obviously must be better because this guy charges so much). Well, the people I've seen who've been to him don't look like they've trained anything at all, to tell the truth.

Why is it people want to pay a wad of money to do something new and different rather than do the basic tried and true stuff that's proven?! (Hell, most of them never stick with it long enough anyway.) Hard work is free and the results are guaranteed!!!

Some of my favourites:

"I don't wanna get too big."

"The bigger they are, the smaller their dick."

"Cheaters. They just let the steroids do all the work."

"Damn, that guy is huge!! He must spend 6 hours a day in the gym!!"

"You can't get big without squatting." (Yes, this IS a myth)

"I would never wanna be that big." (Uh huh)

"Will it make me bulky? I don't wanna look like those bodybuilder women." (My sister, when I recommend she does some resistance exercise like pushups, lunges and unweighted squats to tone muscle and add some variety to her exercise program)

I guess not all of those are "myths" but oh well.
 
u guys are hitting them all..

i like

i cant squat i have bad knees
liting weights will make u run slower
the more u lift the better (lifting 7 days a week)
machines are as good as free weights
for girls- lifting will make me big and bulky
 
I dont need to work my legs because the extra weight I put on from getting big arms and chest, will make me heavier and so my legs will grow form carrying an inceased body weight!!!!!!!!!!:stpatty:
