pineapple orange crystal light

Is this something you can really trust to drink and not worry about putting up extra calories?
I drink about 2 liters of water daily and I use crystal light everyday, it is supposed to be sugar free but it's always good to ask.

Crystal light does have a small amount of calories in it but it's pretty much negligible. It would be the equivalent of worrying about the small of calories in toothpaste each time you brush your teeth.

Crystal light won't make you gain body fat or anything like that but it's certainly not good for you either. It's full of artificial colors, sweeteners and flavours. It's fine in moderation but it's not something I would be consuming daily.

Try putting lemon slices in your water. It'll give it a refreshing lemon taste with nothing artificial.

As @muskate has already outlined above, it will not add fat or calories, but this is definitely not a healthy thing to consume on a daily basis, so it is alright from time to time, but I would not drink those everyday. Just like with everything else, moderation is the key, and as long as you keep something in moderation, it should be fine.

the problem with artificial dyes is they have been shown to cause cancer

fillers and sweeteners have no nutritional benefits at all

the only thing i can see as being beneficial with crystal light is if it allows you to drink enough water everyday. some people just can't stomach plain water so i get it, but you need to do what you can to get used to it

A bottle of it here and there wont hurt, given its calorie free. Of course all the sweeteners cannot be healthy in the long run, but then again, everything is packed with that sort of stuff

I use crystal light once in a while during the day and sometimes later at night. I always use plain water when I train though. The times I have it at night are when I know I have not drank enough water and need the flavor to help me get some more down.
