I was wandering if anyone could give me some information about a very reputable personal training company to obtain my certification from. And are the online courses any good or is it better to just go to some classes. My gym owner recomended Nedea or something like that. I live near Charlotte so what did some of you guys around here do??thanks

I dont know much about it, but i asked at my gym and they said that they would hire from American Council Of Exercise {ACE} or College or Sports Medecine (i think thats what it was called). I have heard the Ian King Method of Training is a really good certification to get. He writes articles for T-mag.com.

Good luck with that. I would like to do that some day.

For the most part, gyms want a nationally acredited certififcation. Here are some.

ACE American council on Exercise
ACSM American college of Sports MEdicine
NSCA NAtional Strength and Conditioning Association
NASM NAtional Academy of Sports Medicine

These are the 4 major ones that my gym looks for.

ISSA is a good one, it is among one of the top 5-6 of them, and accepted at most gyms...
