R rnch not a mentor EF VIP Oct 16, 2001 #24 re:calves mine are 18 inches, cold and unpumped. use 23 ga, 5/8 of needle exposed. eq is no problem, but test makes me limp for about 2 days. AWSOME pumps though!! do better with bis and pec injects than calves.
