hey wats up bros....i had a question...Does it really matter what kind of diet you follow for weightloss as long as you have a caloric deficit(burn more calories than u take in) or isthere a certain advantage to certain kind of diets ...such as the ckd diet?? Also...if I choose to follow a regular diet such as a 40, 30, 300 or a high protein, moderate to low carb, low fat diet (not a CKD) is it still wise to have a carb up day to keep your metabolism in check and raise lepitin levels...or will it just work against you and make u gain fat. If so, why and how would u go about the carb up day???
 
Yes, it appears that no matter what type of diet you are on (within limits), a carb-up/refeed day is beneficial. In fact, it seems that it may be one of the most important aspects of a diet.

Personally, I am following a roughly 40/40/20 ratio. But I wouldn't get too hung up on the percentages. When I was trying to cut, the ratio was probably more like 50/30/20. Get enough protein (roughly 1g/lbs of bodyweight). Get enough fat (roughly 20%, mostly from EFA's, nuts, etc). The rest is mostly personal preference, and seems to have little or no real effect on fat loss, except in some extreme cases.

For my refeeds, I mostly go with my same basic diet, but add very high GI carbs. Over the weekend, I go through a bag of Twizzlers, and one of those Entemann's fat free pastry boxes. They key seems to be going very low fat, and very high carbs.
