One of the main pieces of advice i've seen given to newbies is to eat lots of carbs. By this do you mean proper portions every 3 hours(eg 1/2 cup of brown rice with lunch / 1 cup of oats for breakfast), as this would likely be more than their normal diet. Or do you mean increase the actual portion size? I'm guessing not 'cause you only need so much at once but it just threw me off a bit.
