My girlfriends back / shoulders ! Please advise!

Yea - I guess still - what does SHE think? Its so subjective how people think someone should look.

At the end of the day I think I consider this quote to be the final word.

What a disgrace it would be for a (wo)man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his (her) body is capable. -Socrates

My back is pretty big thats not the issue. Hopefully i can take a picture tonight. Her back is just too wide in my opinion.

Thanks for all the replies.

Just curious. Do you think her back looks too wide all of the time; just when she's working out; and or does she tend to flex her shouldersand lats even on her down time? The reason I ask is that I wasn't aware that I was flexing ( not in a big way but still not completely relaxed,) when I was simply standing or walking down the street. It wasn't until my Doctor asked me to relax my shoulders while she was examining me that I realized that I was somewhat posing all of the time. Can become a major pain in the neck by the way.

Ahhh, don't let it bug you, clothing designers don't design with wide shoulders in mind. If you have big shoulders, they expect you to have huge breasts (they're not designing for actual shoulders, mind you, just back fat).

Women are not supposed to have deltoids, triceps or biceps ... at least that's what I think whenever I go to try on clothing

And this is basically why I live in jeans and t-shirts :lmao:

HAHAHHAHAHQHAA

No, really my shoulders have always been a pain in the ass for me - my back dominates - BOO.

If I could get the shoulders right before the boobs reach my waist I'll be very happy.

I live in yoga pants, boots and tees - Victoria Secret must love me.

Ha! we're also not supposed to be tall!
thank gawd for lowrise stretch denim and mens wifebeater tanktops. I live in that stuff, well besides my Brazillian supplex pants and Hard tail stuff... that fits okay. but it sure is hard finding the right fit if you have height AND muscles.

I dont think she is flexing all the time.. she did tell me in the past her back is like that because she used to do alot of heavy lifting. Question for all the nice ladies in this thread. How do I go about taking a picture of her back ? I don't want to be an ass hole.

Miami, unless a woman is actively training the HELL out of her deltoids, doing back exercises like squats, pullups and deadlifts, the shoulders and back she has are what she will ALWAYS have, the shape and proportion predetermined by genetics. Women just don't retain size in the muscles in that area easily.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I want you to realize if you're worried about being an a-hole, pointing out that you find something unattractive about her that's pretty much the genetic hand she's been dealt is mental torture for her. You'd be kinder letting her go, because it's not fair. It's like being with a woman who's 5'11" when you aren't attracted to tall chicks and you wish she was shorter, do you see what I'm saying?

Being SO focused on one particular body part, to me, says there's something else going on. It's a very extreme example of cutting off her nose to spite her face, if you get my meaning.
