Liver Glucose Question?

I read somewhere that the liver stores about 500 grams of Carbs, and that these carbs have to be fully depleted before one can enter ketosis? Also that if the liver does not have it's full amount of glucose stored, that any carbs eaten, be it low or high GI, will go twoards filling those liver stores first? If one is eating say 100 carbs per day, wouldnt that put your liver into a state of being somewhat carb depleted? and as long as you continued to eat 100 or less carbs per day, and 500 calories less than your maintenance amount of calories, wouldn't your body use these carbs to replenish your liver, and utilize stored fat as an alternate energy source? Keeep in mind that cardio would be done about 4 times a week.

This really depends on the individual - but most people need to drop carbs fairly low (maybe under 30g daily - 5-8g per meal) to reach ketosis. I'd say 100g is too much - and the liver will continue to circulate glucose in response to blood sugar levels. But yah, it depends on the person.

IMHO, just keep calories under maintenance, do your cardio, continue lifting heavy, and you'll drop body fat.
