you want to keep the fat down on carb up day. you don't want all that fat floating in your system with your insulin levels raised from all the carbs. if you do decide to take in all that fat you had better load up on r-ala before you eat.
Harvest grain and nut pancake fat 9 g a piece; 180 cals; carbs 20 g
+ butter + syrup
orange chicken carbs 16 g per serving; 340 cals; carbs 28g
3 oz egg roll fat 8 g; 180 cal; carbs 22 g
1 slice of Pizza Hut Pork topping pizza fat 16 g per slice; carbs 29 g; 320 cals
Total Fat: ouch 49 grams
okay what are you supposed to eat on the carb up day? How the hell do I get in 3500 calories with only 40 grams of fat in a day? 40 grams is according to ckd calculator. Can I eat some more fat than that and still be okay or should I not go over 40?
IMO varying slightly from the calculator won't kill you. however don't go overoboard.
drink protein shakes with a powdered carb like dextrose or gatorade. that's an easy way to get your carbs in. pasta and or rice or potatos are great ways to get carbs in as well.
pancakes and real maple syrup can't be all that bad if you keep the butter off of them.
I eat like a horse on carb-ups. I disregard fat, protein and just make sure I get alot of carbs. I drank 12 cokes in a day and a half last week. Mac and cheese etc...
It's only one day, and if 1pd of fat is 3500 cals... Then I don't even come close to gaining a pound that day.
And it gives me something to look forward to, while I'm eating meat and cheese all damn day.
