Is there anything more protein packed and convenient than a can of tuna?

I read an article once on protein content of various meats. Obviously fishes(certain types), chicken, turkey all came near the top. According to this article the meat with most protein per standard weight measurement was human flesh!

So next time you see that big guy at the gym, invite him round for Christmas dinner and soon YOU will be the big guy! :goatslaye

(Turkey rated higher than chicken)

I heard somewhere Buffalo meat just regulates on other types of meats, but it'd be hard as hell to find on a local level for most. You might be able to order it over the net or something though.

Tuna sucks.

It's almost worth paying the extra for the chicken. I love chicken.

I'm going to look for canned chicken and/or canned turkey. Buffalo is a great lean beef but it is hard to find and it's rather expensive.

Fro -- buy the tuna with the flip-tab lids that pull off; that solves the can opener. Four cans/day would suck -- you'll burn yourself out quick. It's max of one/day for me.

Hard-boiled eggs, jerky, pre-cooked beef pattys, cheese, cottage cheese, milk, peanuts, canned salmon (better Omega3s than tuna), channed chicken, yogurt, couple scoops of peanut butter, pepperoni -- there are a lot of alternatives...

acneman makes a good point - vary your protein intake. It's better to get protein derived from multiple sources rather than from one source. Who knows if there is a health concern with your one source of protein? Or else, maybe that source isn't as effective as others. There are so many variables involved with food and human metabolism and given the availability of so many different foods, it seems ludicrous to rely on one or two sources.

Athlete03: did you experience any peripheral neuropathy from the mercury poisoning? i.e. tingling/numbness/loss of sensation in the extremities?

Cottage cheese.

I can't stand cottage cheese it makes me want to

...that was until I tried cottage cheese w/Pineapple. WOW :eek2: that stuff is actually good! Now I'm hooked on it. Eat two tubs a day (total of 8 servings).

i used to eat mega cans of tuna until I finally read the label and saw how much sodium I was consuming, how do you spell BLOAT!

I eat alot of hard boiled eggs. You can just toss out the yolks if you're watching your fat intake. Be prepared for some rank gas though. Not a good protein source before a blind date!!:D
