Injured Rotator Cuff

Thought I would bump this up for all who are dealing with this. I have found that using the device called a "manta ray" on the bar while squatting helps if you are experiencing pain in shoulders when sqatting.

Instead of regular goodmornings, using the band instead of the bar also helps.

Anyone have any suggestions for triceps that won't aggrevate this injury? I love the close grip bench, but it's out of the question right now.

i cant dont anything overhead, so i like the cable crossover for chest and tri pushdown on cable as well

I have the same injury. I was in rehab and dropped out.
I have not been successful with my left arm doing ALOT of things...like moving it...(exagerating). The tri pushdown on the cable (like rez said) is about the only thing I can do.
I keep the weight lighter. I really am afraid of pusing it too hard.

Ok just one more thing to add here for folks with rc problems. I went to my chiropractor yesterday for some lower back stuff. I mentioned my rc problem and he fiddled around with it and then showed me a different exercise to do. He noticed that the injured shoulder was slightly dropped and pulled forward, so this exercise pushes it back and stretches it back in the correct place.

I mention this as an alternative for someone who is just leaving the injured shoulder alone. Your chiro may be able to help you heal.

First off as I mentioned this is what my chiro showed me to do for my shoulder. I'm sure your injury is different. The point of that post was to encourage folks to seek help from chiros, massage thereapists, etc, not just medical docs.

Ok then what he showed me was to lay on the side of the injured shoulder, propped up on my elbow, do like a push up by taking my nose close to my inner elbow, this is done by pushing back on the shoulder. I feel the stretch in my shoulder. I do this 10-15 times, 2-3 times per day.
