Things that work to hit the pecs more during the Pushups I've found.
1. Concentrate on making your chest do the work.
2. position your hand farther down towards the center of your body. Like try positioning them around the lower half of your rib cage.
3. Put your hands farther out. (this you can't do to well if you do number 1)
4. put you feet up on stairs or a chair or something.
5. Concentrate on making your chest do the work.
I also feel thats the order of importance that works for me to getting the burn in the chest. sometimes I do fairly wide at nipple height sometimes I do it fairly narrow (close to body) but much further down towards my stomach.
