I made my first arrest last night

THere are many laws that are hypocritical and I could never be a cop and enforce laws that I do not agree with, such as arresting someone for smoking marijuana.. To say that something is wrong because the law says it's wrong... well that just sounds dumb to me.. Not intellectual thinking at all.

Most cops that I've known and I've known a lot( because my sister has dated a Lieutenant for several years) are guilty of the very same laws that they arrest people for... Why? I know a man that went to jail for 6 months for cheating on his wife because he was in the Air Force.

Lets go after the violent criminals ( murderers, rapists, etc) and leave the drug users alone. When some of the drug users steal to support their habit, then arrest them.

The guy was taking advantage of the homeless population for sex. This isn't a victimless crime. Personally, I dont' want people fucking on the sidewalks while I walk my baby in a stroller, either.

yes i have. and if i get caught i know i will have to pay just like if the ones i catch have to pay as well. its a chance we all take. i speed also so does that mean i shouldnt give anyone a ticket for speeding either??? we are talking semantics.

have i ever went speeding down a road past a night club with lights and sirens on blasting "bad boys bad boys" from my stereo as i do it???? no, but do i think about doing it??? hell yea, that would be funny as shit IMOP.

does a store employee turn someone in for shoplifting then the next day steal something from the store room because in his mind he doesnt get paid enough so he will just take what he feels is owed.... is that right??? no.

this doesnt mean that im gonna bust any person that decides to J-walk?? no im not that mean. but the situation i was facing being he was seen at the same place several times doing the same things and knowing he deals drugs next to a school AND a church i kinda have to take a stand.

again, im proud of what i did and i will do it again if i have to and believe me, im in the heart of downtown jacksonville and i know it will.
