Wow. Really. As much of an Asshat that Maverick is sometimes, I think his original question has merit.
I'm surprised at how fast the flaming started & how long it went on, rather than dealing with the questions. Helps contribute to the stereotype, y'know?
I know about 12 guys that are juicing. Only 3 of them really talk to me about it. One guy is 40ish, & is deluding himself. He says he needs it, is in tremendous pain from lifting, yet continues to do it to look good & expand is sexual repertoir. 2 others are on HRT. One of those sticks to his Dr.s relatively conservative regimen. The other has done a ton of research, actually is quite knowledgeable, & supplements his HRT with a cornucopea (or is that plethora?) of pharms.
Then there's me. I can speak for the sportsguys, so I won't. I've been lifting for over 15 yrs. The first 10 of those, I have no idea why, 'cause I didn't get anywhere. Really, I was moderately obese, and after lotsa work, attention to diet cardio & weights I still couldn't get anywhere. Then after being diagnosed Type II diabetic, then with sleep apnea, my knowledgeable friend suggested I get my levels checked. My test was low so my doc started me on Andriol. Then went to androgel, then test cyp. I never started making any gains, until I got on the cyp. My musculature & vascularity have improved tremendously, though the weight is still an issue.
I also supplement my scrips with moderate cycles.
In closing, I think the people who juice to the point of distraction, working out, etc. do so for the same reason workaholics work so much, bulimics puke & liberals breathe. 'Cause there is something missing in their life & don't know what. People who juice with a clear goal are usually the ones who do the research, start slow, & control it.
