i started off about a month ago and set my goals, chose my supplements, and came up with a workout plan. i had worked out before and never really had any noticable results. this time i am very motivated because i'm seeing results. quick ones. this won't work for everyone i'm sure but i just wanted to throw my idea out there.

btw, i've always been a hard gainer. that's why i'm so excited about this.

workout plan

6 days a week

day 1: arms(bi's and tri's and forearms)
day 2: legs
day 3: chest/back
day 4: arms
day 5: legs
day 6: chest/back

1st set: 10 reps
2nd set: 8 reps
3rd set: 6 reps
4th set: 4 reps
5th set: 2 reps

of course you never stop just because you hit a target number. this just gives you a number to shoot for. and by pyramiding down like this i've been able to increase my weight on each set. and you still get 30 reps just like you were doing 3 sets of 10. but by working down you won't have to worry about saving yourself for you last set. go all out on all your sets.

supplements (all legal)

Protein is by prolab. it's called N-Large. it's got 52 grams of protein and more calories for those that need to load up in that dept.

and of course, Phophagen HP, double dose so that i'm getting 10 grams of creatine instead of only 5 g

i also just added 4.5 grams of glutamine to the mix, we'll see how that works.

oh yeah, eat eat eat eat eat.

btw, my stats used to be 5'9.5" 150lbs
now, 5'10"(better posture i guess) 162lbs
my goal is 165 by the end of the year and 175-180 by next fall.

good job !

how long have you been training ?

i started working out the first of october. after about a year off. no real results till the november when i started going harder.
150lbs the begining of november now i'm 162lbs (and still gaining)

despite what people may tell you about your current routine and training bodyparts 2x a week.

DON'T change your routine until you stop making gains. that's bodybuilding 101 !

i like the way you think

thanks fitnessfrk. i've heard from so many people about how recovery is so important (which it is) but this is working for me so i'm going to stick with it. when i hit a plateau then i'll change it.

Cool dude. I've been training with four days between the same exercises for a while with minimal results. So now I'm trying to go 48 hours between exercises. I'm finding it hard to keep up this schedule though b/c it's very tiring, but I'll get it, cool gains bro:fro:
