How big are you? Do you need this much juice to get big? Agreed, 6 foot 243 8%bf is massive, arnold was 6'2 240 and 10%bf, you're 2"shorter 3lb heavier and 2%less bf than arnold, sounds fishy, but i can tell you that almost everyone exaggerate their bf%, most people who are 20%bf think they're 12%, at 12% abs are fully visible if you flex, 8% is shredded, and abs are fully visible without flexing..
If he's a pro bb then i can see him running that amount, if a gymrat, its just dumb..Just my opinion..

You cant totally gauge bodyfat by abs....Ive heard that so much but then ive seen many athletes of various builds with or without abs be dunk tanked or calipered and come up at different BFs that would not match the whole "if you see abs" myth...I think thats bro science. A dunk tank is $50-80 and would solve that problem instead of guessing. Id bet most folks are run of the mill gyms arent too accurate with calipers either...get dunk tanked or bod pod'ed

Yes i agree, i just gave an estimation that if you work your abs, at 8% they should be fully visible without flexing, but if you dont work abs even at 6% you're not gonna see anything just a bony ribcage..
I totally understand what you're saying though, i've seen some people who are really 10% and still have love handles, others at 14% dont and even some have visible abs at 15% if they flex, its mostly genetic..
My point was most people guess their bf% by looking in the mirror, which is not accurate..
