Pickme, i didnt see anything re: an initial deload period with the BS 5x5, at least not the section i read and printed out. can u shoot me a link or an excerpt?
I just couldnt wait any longer and went to the gym Wed night for first time in like 12-13 days. Prior to taking time off i teetered around 215-216 pounds (im 5'10). Stepped on the scale Tues and was 210....its only 5 lbs but it FEELS like 20. Crazy how just 5 pounds can make u feel so much smaller LOL. I havent been as low as 210 in a longgggg time. Anyways, i did super light weight, pretty much just 135 on all the 5x5 program lifts just to get the juices flowing again. On the bench, 135 never felt so heavy. Could feel a little of that shoulder "bone" soreness is still there but is nothing like it was, but my shoulders felt really week from under the bench press. Pretty damn discouraging but it felt good to just get in there again. Is gonna be a little longer than i wanted to get back to full workout status based on how i felt. Goin in again here in a few minutes so, hopin for a better workout.
