Hello all!

In your opinion, what is the best rep range for squats/deadlifts if you go for

A: SIZE in lower back/legs

B: max size of your entire body (testerone/GH release)

reply please!

thanks!

A. 6-12 is the best if you are only going to use one rep range. It's best to use varied rep ranges, as in 3-7 rep sets along with 10-15 rep sets as a guideline.

B. Test favors low reps, GH favors high reps.

usually stick to 4-6 on my heaviest and once a month I'll do some one rep max work as well to help break those plateau's

WOW! Thanks Cackerot69, thats interesting!

I would suggest pyramidding for squats and deadlifts. The pyramid has always been a good size and strength builder on the very basic exercises. Start lighter and work your way into HEAVY weights. I would start with reps are 8-10 and finish your squats and deads with 4-5 reps. :D:D
