Ok.. i know this may sound crazy to some.. but here goes.. Is this kindaa meat good for ya.. my old man swears by it.. im from Pacific Islander Background.. and my dad back home used to eat this stuff like we eat Chicken.. He loves it.. so for someone who hits the weights, does Manual Labour for work and wanting to live a Healthy Lifestyle.. is it good or bad ?.. anybody know ??

americans generaly frown on eating horses, so I don't think you'll get much help. We do have several horse slaughtering facilities here in the southwest, but they keep a low profile and ship all the meat to France.

not much help. sorry. :D

I would assume it is probably better than cattle since horses tend to carry less body fat.

Hell I would try it if I new where to get it and it was cheap.

Horse? I dunno. I figured that cats would be best.

Sorry about that. This isn't C&C. I don't really have anything valuable to say on horse meat other then I agree with Shorty. North Americans usually frown upon it.

I have a friend in Canada who can get it & eat it....but I don't think we here in the US eat it due to the "image" issue.....

But my friend says it's very very lean & it is good for you....

I have eaten many times when I was younger in Cuba,it actually tastes just like beef and looks like it except maybe a bit leaner.I dont think you can really diferentiate it from beef if you put them next to each other.
