Honey = fructose = bad post-workout??????

I recently read a study which stated that honey is primarily fructose; if this is true, why would honey be a good choice for post-workout recovery?

I cannot afford dextrose or maltodextrin at this point; so I have been eating a 140 cal english muffin, 25 g egg white protein, and 1 tbsp honey for my recovery meal. Will this work? If honey is not a good choice, what are some other options?

BUMP...bc i have been using 2 tblsp of Honey, thinking it was good....any one with info on this?

I am beginning to think diamonddiceclay is a robot and his the only advice he knows how to give is "no carbs, no carbs...etc."

couple things

Not sure what honey's primary sugar is but a little wouldn't hurt even if it is fructose. Your liver needs glycogen too ya know! Especially post work out.

As for not affording dextrose (maltodextrin is my personal prefrence) protein factory has it for 2.95 a pound. Thats alot cheaper than a jar of honey

haven't you guys figured it out yet? Diamond (1) thinks every diet ? relates to CKD, (2) makes 47 posts per day, regardless of the question, answer or subject matter, & (3) is driving the rest of us crazy with his one-line responses!

It is quite rediculous, 0 carb isn't the end all be all of diets. I'm starting to think hes just some cleverly scripted bot used to promote CKD.
