Homemade Protein Bars minus the cost.

Tired of spending 2 bucks per pop for a protein bar? Tired of all that extra corn syrup/refined sugars/extra gunk inside of store bought protein bars? Well I was too, so I searched the web for the perfect homemade protein bar and I believe I have found it.

5 scoops whey, chocolate or vanilla
1 3/4 cups oatmeal
1/3 cup splenda or equal or sweet n low
2 tbsp chocolate chips (this gives it a great taste and only comes out to around 10 or so chips per bar-you can skip this if you do not want the sugar)
2 tbsp canola oil (or try it with flax seed oil)
4 tbsp natural peanut butter
2 eggs
add skim milk until it takes on cookie dough consistancy ~1/4 cup or so

dump into 9" pan
the key is to not overcook it as it turns into cardboard, but not undercook as it stays too runny. you may have to experiement a bit for it to turn out just right. what i do is bake for 12min at 300 and then top broil for another 3 to cook the top

cut into 6 pieces, serve.

These bars actually stick together, you can individually wrap them in wax paper and store in refridge for about a week. These taste really good and my wife loves them. I use 1 every day for Meal #3 and its super convenient. I have the exact nutritional info at home and can post it later on. Let me know how you like it.
