I spend a long time in the gym, considering the relatively few exercises and somewhat low volume that I do. It's because I like to wait a long time in between sets, so I can give myself every chance to lift the heaviest weight possible within my rep range. It's usually 4-5 minutes in between sets. I don't know if that affects hypertrophy, but I hope it's good enough for strength gains. It has been so far, until recently that is.
