Egg white or Powder

I'm debating which is best for mass. I used to have 18 raw egg whites a day in two pints of milk. Do you guys think this is better than using protein powders?

I'm not bothered about the cost, i just think that a natural source of protein has certain 'unwritten' benefits.

So what do you guys think, 50 grams protein per drink from egg white or 50 grams protein per drink from powders?????

When you take cost and convenience into consideration - definitely powder. Yes whoel foods are important, but that's what steak, chicken, tuna, and fish are for.

I would go with powder. It is considerably more convenient and in my opinion essentially as effective as egg whites. I honestly don't see any real difference when I use egg whites as opposed to protein powder.

any preferences on which powders. i tried the site that lets you select your own mix but the science baffled me. d'oh.

I dont find it any more or less convienient. I've tried both, but just wondering what ou guys thought.

A friend of mine is a dietician, and she suspects that the powder base may build up in the kidneys over long periods of time.

WHich powder do you think is best and do you take it all the time? At the moment i'm taking 6 eggwhites in the morning with 2/3 of a pint of milk, same at lunch and again before i train in the evening.

Your body cannot digest most of the protein in egg whites unless you cook them.

Exactly what I was gonna say, there are some good posts on here somewhere about raw eggs...they dont digest well uncooked. Check out the milk digestability too, pretty interesting...

Powder is too heavy for my stomach.
It makes me feel sick.
I mixed it with milk and it was too heavy.
Now I add one ounce of powder to 2 cups of egg white and make a shake.
Gives me 75 gm of protein and much lighter for my stomach.
I also drink a lot of fat free milk.

75 gm of protein in one meal. Can the body absorb that much. I always thought the limit was around 50grams per meal.
