bought the book not too long ago and was wanting to see what others thought about it. Some of the ideas sound pretty sound to me and kinda a natural extension of the Old School routine (which I had good results with).

Anyway just wanted to see if anyone had an opinion on it one way or another.

I don't own the book, but I am familiar w/ the concepts. All of them are good quality, old school, tested and true muscle building routines.

2 things stand out to be about Brooks Kubic (besides the fact that he is a lawyer from Kentucky)

1) He isn't very big.
2) He isn't very strong.

The principles and ideas are very neat and have lots of good thoughts... I read on other boards about these guys using these super routines that will do this or that...but they all seem to be fully grown met who aren't lean at 190 pounds and can bench 250.

At some point everyone must realize that a good routine is a "living, breathing routine". It changes and picks the good from the bad in every other routine based on what works for YOU.

Not to be a dick or anything, but I think Kubik is quite strong dude. Bench pressing over 400 pounds with a 2.5" or 3" diameter bar is pretty good IMO.

I liked the book alot, it pushes hard training and is very motivational. On the other hand, I didn't like the ideas of odd object lifting and such.

IR0N.

I understand what you mean. I actually find benching with a thicker bar to be eaiser. Most people actually do. I did 421.5 for a single a long time before I ever benched 405 with a regular bar.
