Anybody have a really good dinner recipe? Since most limit their carbs after 5ish, just wondering what ya'll eat based around a solid protein source and a mess load of veggies....

anybody do pancakes for dinner minus the oats?

huh?

pancakes minus oats????

Anyhow, on days I train, my diet is full of clean carb/protein meals after 5, as I train at 5........

doing activity that demands glycogen recomp and recovery demands that you consume it!

If you are not working out that evening, stick to meats and veggies.......no corn, carrots, peas............*sugary!*

So, basically meat and fibrous veggies...........

Hey, SC...thanks for saying exactly what I said...I was looking for a change of pace and some IDEAS for a dinner......not someone to tell me which veggies are "suggary" (as you put it) or highly glycemic.....

You ever heard of the infamous protein pancakes on this board??? They have oats bra........

LOL

I just have Steak and steamed broccoli every night of my life, so Im no help...But sometimes Ill make some faux mashed potatoes with cauliflower, its not bad.

Have you seen my BB pancake recipe? Its just Eggwhites, Whey, splenda, cinnamon, and psyllium plated with SF maple syrup. I have gotten good feedback, I eat them often.

Hansel,
I'll give em a shot tonight if you give me the exact ingredients and measurements.....whats psyllium?? Don;t have any.....where do I get it?

Doesn't cooking dork up the the protein (whey)? or is it insignificant?

I havent yet seen anything conclusive on this topic to date but I feel it would be insignificant. People mic all kinds of protiens with success so I dont see how whey would be different.

At any rate, you can pour the batter into a pan on the stove...it will just make for more clean-up
