deli meat

why cant you eat deli meat like turkey breast,roastbeef ect.for your meat in a couple of your meals for your protien. what is the diffrence between that and chicken breast. its still got alot of protien. i have been just eating in straight out of the bag from the deli. is there anything wrong with that????

Smoked Turkey Breast(Deli)
May be natural shape or formed in round, slab or football shape.
May be hickory-smoked, mesquite-smoked or use liquid smoke flavor; smoke flavor and color may be heavy or light.
May be skinless or with natural skin.
May include portion of wing meat, portion of back and neck skin.
Added ingredients may include water, turkey broth, salt, sugar, corn syrup solids, brown sugar, dextrose, garlic powder, flavorings, sodium nitrite, sodium erythorbate, sodium phosphate, potassium nitrate.

May be vacuum packed.
Package may bear "use by" date.
May be up to 99 percent fat free.

If you prefer to consume those addatives and preservatives then go ahead. I get chicken breast from a butcher shop, the ingredients are chicken and salt for processing.

dude take a look at the nutritional info on a package of chicken breast and then go to the boarshead.com website and click on the menu and the nutritional info for one of the meats... the sodium is outrageous and the preservatives, etc.

It's OK in the clutch, but habitual eating of deli meats is not the way to go.
