Deadlift: A PR Story

So my deads had staled for a while and I dropped them and started doing only SLDL's for about a month.

Today I went there and set a 20lbs PR, and then added another 20lbs and set another PR. So 40lbs total. :D

The old guys there (he's a PT) that had said my deads weren't perfect the last time he had seen me, stood there and watched me pull the new weight and said my form was perfect. ;)

Not gonna say my numbers yet, but when I hit 5plates i'll put up a video for everyone (which might take some time).

Nice, very nice...Same thing here.
I stayed at 310lb for so very long, then I just gave up and thought this doesn't work. I decided to drop everything with tha name straps and gloves. Went on with more squats and SLDL for about 5 weeks. Then mostly for fun, I decided to try it out again. First did 4 reps with no probs at 310lb, went for 2 reps at 330 and thought wtf. 2 reps at 352lb and I needed someone to slap me, I was all exide so I put on another 24lb, 374lb for 9reps.
From 308lb to 374lb in 5 weeks without even doing one rep of deads, that is what I call improvement.

The body NEEEEEEDDDDSSS change, rest and more change and rest. With only deads SLDL will lack, so If I were u i would pick either SLDL or Deads to do each week for 5 weeks That will make both lower back + backlegs to get what it needs + the recovery. 'Right now I'm at 395lb at 6reps and next time trying for 410lb. Next goal during this cycle is 450lb for 6reps. Evvery 3:d week I do 2 sets of 10reps, then 1 set of 20reps.
