Day 2 Bench Help

Guys, I'll be benching in the morning, part of my 6 day routine, I hit my chest monday and thursday. Each day is slightly different, like db vs. bb, etc. Thing is, on Monday I did weighted dips for the first time. They really hit my tris hard. They're still a bit sore. Should I stay away from dips in the morning, or should I work through them. My tris aren't so worn that I wouldn't be able to do them successfully. Please advise. :) Thanks.

i've always heard that if your muscle is still sore from a previous workout definetely DO NOT work that muscle again

are you asking if you should stay away from them altogether or stop the because they made you sore??
you did them monday,by thursday you should e fine .you wil be able to do your second chest day.you have to get to know our body to know when to back off a bit and when to hit it.nobody can tell you that.see how you feel thursday, but i bet you will be fine.:fro:

i never work a bodypart that is still sore from a previous w/o. remember you grow when your out of the gym not while your in it.

ADVICE: NEVER EVER train a muscle when its sore. Muscles need proper recuperation to grow. Your only stabbing yourself in the back by training a muscle when its sore.

I would try a different form and see how this effects the muscles you feel working during dips. Try and find a dip station that has slightly wider dip bars if available. To perform the dips cross your legs below you and bring your heels close to your butt, and lean forward. When you go down to perform the rep, flare out your elbows as much as possible. On the way up DO NOT lockout your elbows at the top, you can come close but dont extend your elbow, it will stimulate your triceps to a greater degree. Doing it this way I REALLY get a great burn in my lower/inner pecs. I read about this variation from a book called The Poliquin Principles written by Charles Poliquin. :D Good luck.

When I do them this way I dont feel them in my triceps AT ALL. :):)
