so still sick but able to get out of bed and I am going to brave the gym today. still dizzy when I stand and spitting things up. But at least I am awake. I pretty much slept through the past 2 days. I guess my body needed it... Isn't it sad that at 23 I can't stay up partying for a few days without getting sick. what can you do...

i have a lot of work to catch up on and I have to read up in the threads I feel totally out of the loop. give me a few days to get all the reading in. I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Um.. let's see, you've been thru a lot of stress & excitement for the last several days, maintained a fairly low bodyfat level on 1000 cals /day, training hard & got sick. Throw in some booze & lack of sleep on an already stretched system and you're worried about recovering quickly from partying at age 23....

Court, stay in bed & give your body a break. You've exhausted your body's resources, thrown in all sorts of toxins and then deprive yourself of sleep. If you're still dizzy when you stand up and can't keep stuff down, I think that's your body screaming for a break. And don't think you aren't rebounding as well from all of it. Not much different than post-show rebound.

Stay in bed & catch up on your thread reading between naps :)
 
Of course ladies you are all right... but this is stubborn Courtney we are talking about. I have had a very stressful few weeks. But there is still more to come in a few weeks so I dont have time to sit on my ass. Believe me I felt like death yesterday and stayed in bed, right now I actually feel a little better that I went to the gym... I could lift as heavy but getting my blood moving felt really good.

I am going to keep track of my tanning I have to get black and I want to see how many sessions it takes

Please don't take this the wrong way ...... BUT, there is stubborn and there is stupid. :(

If you truely have the flu, you need to rest. Then, your next statement, that there is more stresses to come in the next weeks shows me EVEN MORE that you need to rest. You are setting yourself up for staying sick for weeks.

It is MUCH better to take 3-4 days off totally then nurse an illness for 2 weeks. You may feel better now, but you stressed out your already stressed body ..... even by lifting lighter and doing no cardio. It just isn't smart.

If you HAD to do something, Pilates, mild Yoga, stretching or mediation would have been smarter.
 
your right daisy girl!! I have been off for 4 days. I took the weekend off and I started feeling sick sunday night. Monday and tuesday I spent in bed and today is the first day out. While I probably shouldn't have workout today I do feel 100 times better. just a cough now.

4:00 pm
2 scoops protein

back workout
chin ups 40/6, 60/6, 80/10, 80/10
T-Bar 45/10, 35/12, 35/10, 35/8
one arm db pull 17.5/12, 17.5/12, 15/12
cable row 50/12, 50/12, 50/12

10 min intervals
meeting my training partner at the stair bright and early tomorrow so I am going to soak in the tub and head to bed...

should I be taking zinc? if so what is it for?
shadow if you have a moment could you go a page back and check out the diet that beverly made for me. to me it seems really low on the carbs...

Zinc has been shown in some studies to bolster the immune system
