can someone tell me about Pure Calcium Caseinate Protein Powder? is this as good as whey protein or worse, or used differently? i have heard the main differnece lies in the fact that it claims to release much slower than normal whey. would it be advisable to mix whey and this? anyway, i have no idea about it so...can anyone give me the heads up?
cheers

Http://www.proteinfactory.com has caseinate protein available. Whey is digested more quickly and has more BCAA's than casein but caseine has a MUCH higher glutamine content. They both have a perfect PCDAAS of 1.00 so they are both extremely high quality protein sources. Many people consume whey in their post workout shakes and caseinate before bedtime for its slow release. Personally, I've used milk protein isolate which for the past six years for great results. Milk Protein Isolate is is 80% casein and 20% whey. Also, if you have lactose intolerance you will want to stay away from whey protein concentrate and use Isolates instead. Isolates ahve a much higher percenatge of protein and insignifigant amounts of lactose,

I use Caseinate Protein before bedtime for slow release to keep the nitrogen retention, since the body will stay without protein during your sleep that helps keep it steady somewhat.

Add 5-10g of Fishoils and 2tbls of Psyllium Husks for ultimate slow release formula before bedtime
