carb depleting for women?

Hi, I am new to this site and new to bodybuilding. I will be competing in my first figure competition in 10 days (may 22) and I was wondering what advise anyone has as far as carb depleting this many days out or even at all? Someone advised to me to carb deplete 3 days then low carbs 1 day and repeat until competition... they said it would just keep me lean seeing as i don't really need to bulk too much for figure. Thanks for any input!

nickih3: so lets say that you show in on Sat.
You start loading on sodium starting on Monday/Tues and slowly increase your water intake and start taking some diaretic (taraxetone works well). On thrs you cut your sodium to as close to zero as possible. Fri 2pm - you cut your water.

20 min before you go on stage - you start eating your protein bar and take a few sips of red wine (in plastic container, of course) - small bites, small sips. You will get a nice, full, vascular look.
